I am just curious on what this 1891 O Morgan might grade. If you need better pictures let me know and I will try to take better ones. Any advice on it would be great! Thank you.
I agree, plus the distracting scratch across Liberty's cheek is hard to tell if that's from the cleaning, or something else.
Merc I know you are a pretty reliable person on this coin forum so I trust your grading. What stinks is this is one of the first coins I bought and I paid more the I should have knowing what the price range is for them now that I have been collecting for a while. I appreciate your advice on the grade. Thank you.
Hey, take it as a lesson. I was burned pretty badly two or three times after I got back into collecting. If you're interested in Morgan dollars, you should pick up the guide book to Morgans by Q. David Bowers... good and very interesting read, and only like, $15.
Thank you I will look into that. As you might know I am pretty big into roll searching( haven't done it in at least a month due to moving and just getting settled in. I do collect as well though and I do enjoy Morgan dollars. That Morgan along with 2 others was my first coin purchase about 4 years ago for $150 dollars. A few years later I bought a MS62 Morgan and was hoping maybe this one would grade a MS60. Anyway lesson learned I will keep the coin in my collection either way since I don't like letting go of any coin I have!
Haha a little to much fun. I go threw a lot of cents( started with boxes of halves) So I am like you and have boxes and boxes of pre 82's unless you have unloaded yours. I do enjoy searching threw anything but I find cents the most rewarding since I always find something good. For me halves are a hit or miss.
I sold $700 face on ebay, and just 3 weeks later, I'm already over $200 face laying around again. It's a dangerous obsession.
