You often see a grade written on a holder of a raw coin. In this case they claim it is an MS64. What do you say?
She's a problem. My feelings are that "unc details" is a nonsense grade, so I would call it AU details.
AU details Harshly cleaned. I have some copper that looks EXACTLY like th OP's FEC, it happens when it is dipped in acid and cleaned.
I am well aware of that, sir, but just because TPGs use it this does not make it right. In certain instances - such as a severely overdipped coin - it is reasonable IMO, but with a coin such as you've shown that is both lifeless and covered in hairlines, it is not.
There seems to be a toss up of 'unc. details' vs 'AU details', but cleaning is unanimous. You're the first to mention damage. Where is the damage in your opinion?
Sorry I'm so slow. Been on the road for a while. I called it damaged because of several things. There is a dent below AT in STATES. The corrosion at OF and going down the right of the wing. The spot that was removed to the left of the I in AMERICA and also whatever is going on around that spot.
