I have these two Morgan's that I am planning on selling so I need to estimate their value. I'm new to coins so I wouldn't feel confident in how I would grade them. What would you guys grade these?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

If you are uncertain, and they are not high dollar coins....like rare CC's, rare dates/low population, etc......then I would use good scans, set a low starting price on ebay.......and let them bid them. When you set a reasonable starting price, they usually bid for close to their real world value for raw coins. That has been my experience anyway.

    Ok, first the disclaimer.
Grading is subjective, and only represents one person's opinion.
Based on what I can tell from your pictures, I believe your coins are AU-BU.
A general retail price for the 1898 would be in the $20-$40 range.
The 1903 would be worth about $45-$60.
    Hope this helps.

My opinion - for what it's worth

    1898 - AU53 - $25

    1903 - AU53 - $50

I would probably grade them as EF with AU details the 1903 has been cleaned. The black does not appear to be tarnish nor toning, however, it appears like they sat somewhere with chemicals something to react the way it did. My opinion for what its worth. A2J Jess
