What would you call this?

    The words are caught on the rim. I have looked but wonder what type of error this would be. I am still in the learning stage so this helps me greatly. Thanks

    Additional info good to know: While advanced die deterioration can and does lead to “ridge ring”, another anomaly than can and does occur quite frequently is the phenomena known as “design creep”.

    As the die ages during production the peripheral design devices tend to slowly advance toward the rim, and your coin shows this rather well. It happens commonly so there is no value beyond face value, and it isn’t considered an error or a variety. But it does help explain wonky coins when you find them.
