The huge line.. If it is incused into the coin it could be a scratch. Damaged.

The area under the date could be a simple Lamination. Not too much of a premium for a minor error. It would have to be bigger or much dramatic.

 

Looks like a deep scratch to me, too. There's another one above LIBERTY.
