Debating about submitting this to NGC vs PCGS verses put in an Intercept. Any opinions appreciated. Paid only like $17.00 or so.
Your pix are just enough out of focu that it is hard to get a good grade. What I do think I am seeing are some rubs on the high point. Show me I am wrong, but I think that is AU.
Definitely AU, I wouldn't bother slabbing it. Also looks to have been oiled, or some similar product.
I would say an EF 45 most all of it's mint luster is gone and there's wear on the upper cheekbones JC Formerly jazzcoins Joe
Nice Coin, looks to be AU from the photos. Personally I would save my money on TPG of this coin, really no reason. TPG is good for rare/semi rare coins, coins where there is a large difference in pricing from grade to grade and/or as verification of authenticity (PCGS, NGC or ANAC). Greysheet on this coin @ XF Money is $5.25, AU @ $8.25, UNC @ 14.00. Why would anyone take the time to counterfeit this coin. Save your money.
I like to submit even lower value coins in order to complete my registry. I was hoping it would slide past the AU 58 mark as the luster is strong. I don't agree all the lust is gone. Several pics show that. Doug- it does have Coin Care on it. I have amended my position on this. I have no problem with oils except on full red coins and PL surfaces regardless of any possible arguement of long-term affect. Have spoke with some high up people who use regularly x many years without problems. I had freshly coated it so that's why it's so shimmery. Thanks for everyone's opinion.
Sorry for duplicate photos. It's hard to tell which ones I posted as I take some 20 + photos of each coin. and I get confused which is which.
I like the look of the coin. I wouldn't quibble with an AU58. I wouldn't slab it but if it floats your boat, go for it.
