here is a 44-D not sure myself on one cant tell if the bands on the reverse are a light strike or wear but there are noticeable contact marks.
Grading can be tough sometimes (or most times). The coin might look MS64, but there can be a touch of wear on the coin that brings it down to AU.
true i actually thought i might have saw a touch of wear on the bands but i didnt see any of the obverse and even after you guys said something im having trouble seeing it in the photos. i will look at the coin in hand when i get home and see if i can see it better in different lighting. I wish i could capture the luster in the pictures too though
I actually wanted to say XF-45, but it wasn't listed, so I took AU-50 as it was the lowest grade available.
i hate to be a pain but would someone mind taking the picture and using paint or something similar to circle the wear to help point out where it is i can see it on the bands but am having trouble seeing it on the obverse. Thanks in advance
Thanks doug! i thought i saw a little at the tips of the wings and now i can see the other one you have circled thank you for helping me on my long road of learning to grade. i will probably be posting more in the coming weeks to help me get better
