what would this 1955-D nickel grade?

    I think the lack of detail is due to a soft strike - not circulation wear.

    Fields look pretty clean. Grade? Probably MS64+. I think the weak strike holds it back from MS65.

    I'm gonna say the dings I see knocks it to around MS62, possibly MS63. What's the greenish looking spot between the N and I on the reverse? That could knock a point or two off in my opinion if it is what I think it is.

    Still a nice coin though, I'd throw it in my Dansco but I already have a 55-D in similar condition. :)

    With that big scratch in the hair I don't think they'd grade it at all.
