What would cause this? 2004 P state quarter

    Have been bored, looking through my junk. Found this on one of the many quarters I have.
    Looks like impact, but the edges are too square.
    Looking for info-

    ok back from town-die clash would work-think I'll send it in on the new years specials from TPG-$10.00 per coin---

    stang it's not from a die clash . something may have bumped into it or may be part of a dropped letter

    Yeah-all good- just trying to get the info from knowledgeable people and then make an informed decision: to send it in or not---
    Had those dang quarters since new, from a $25.00 bag I bought--they sure take up space--had I knew then what I have learned here and now-never would have bought the bag.

    got some nice press through grease errors-but they are worth??? $2.00 each?
