Under classic grading criteria, AU58. Under market grading, superior luster and lack of dings can make up for that rub on Mr. Allen's cheek and hair.
It might very well be MS (it appears the luster is very strong), but those pictures are difficult to interpret (i.e. is there wear, any major hits that might be hidden). paging @Beefer518
I don’t own the coin so I can’t tell if there is any hidden damage but the picture doesn’t appear to be altered or anything. Is there any chance of the coin grading low MS instead of AU? Thanks for all the applies so far.
My guess would be MS, but it would not be something I would want to risk a ton on. If the price is right, go for it. However, I would rather just purchase a graded MS 63 than gamble on this one at MS level pricing.
I agree with @Treashunt - pics on holders are useless, but... I'd say AU50, 55 at best. And for that money, you should be able to pick up a 63 or 64 (even on ebay). I paid about $10 more for this - Oh, and a shout-out to @ddddd for putting me on the spot!
Sorry about that @Beefer518 ....you're just the first person I think of when it comes to commems And I now found the listing too; I concur that the price is too high for a raw coin with those photos. Plus even the seller calls it an AU!
Look at the difference between Mr. Allen's cheek on this one and the OP's image. Also the hair at his temple. Also the cat shoulder. This (OP's) SHOULD be an AU.
