I just saw that the Cherrypicker's guide will include the 1988 reverse 89 Lincoln Cent in the newest issue. The report of this that I read gave it a FS # of FS901. OK, now ANACS is going to assign FS901 to the slabs. So the 3 1988 D's that have already been graded and certified don't have this designation. What's that mean to mine ? Is it going to have less value because it was certified prior to the designation. Or could it be worth more as an "early slab" ? Ideas ?

The newest edition of the CPG which covers Lincoln cents is the 5th Edition, Volume I and it has been out for about three years. The 5th Edition, Volume II is scheduled for release in late August, but it will only cover dimes through dollars. I'm afraid you will have to wait a few years before Volume I is updated again. Chris
It has been happening for the last few days. Has someone (non-member) been messing with the program? Chris
Guys, Peter is aware of it and working on it. Please don't clutter up thread with this type of discussion, PM an admin or mod and we will find out. Now, as for the coin...I don't think it will matter too much with the value. The valuable part is the coin inside the slab, not the slab itself. If you would prefer to have it attributed on the slab, you could always send it back in to be reholdered.
To those people who actually KNOW about what they are buying it won't make a bit of difference. It will reduce the value to those people who have to read labels to know what they are buying.
My Bad. It's scheduled to be listed in the next edition. I was thinking Vol I 5th edition and Vol II 5th editions were being released concurrently. As the Vol II 5th edition is coming out soon. I blame my meds, and am sticking to that. I think I am still using the 4th edition Vol I and should get that upgraded soon. gary
