Folks this this "cracks me up" ha ha ha...

It is full of cracks - in this case across the neck to the nose and back down, from the crown up (this thing really changes looks across cracks too - cant get good picks.

The back is full of cracks as well...

The one that stood out of course is the neck to nose and back down...kind of a triangle.

I have already looked at the VAM website and found none with the one across the neck nose and back out...

    Thanks!

Die cracks are fairly common on Morgans. They are struck with 130-150 tons of pressure. Unless there is substantial metal displacement or a pretty good radial crack, they usually aren't attirbuted.

    This one is different

I agree - I have a lot of them, this one is unique...I dont know that I have come across ones that had cracks across Ms. Liberty though...

And the back of this one has defined cracks almost though all of the lettering, all the way around...

How would one go about attempting to get it attributed?

There are two avenues to having it attributed.

    1) You could send it to Leroy Van Allen. He charges $5 + postage for each coin, but if it is a new discovery, he refunds the $5. You have to be very specific about what you see on the coin. He will not just accept a coin and examine every feature on it.

    2) You could submit it to ANACS for grading. They attribute all VAM's, and if it is an unknown variety, they take care of having it formally attributed by Leroy.
