Good afternoon! Just want to know the type of error this 1973 half dollar have (planchet?) and is it worth more than face value? Still learning about difference between damage and error; especially between a die damage and die error. Thanks

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

It was struck with a slightly misaligned die.
Yes, technically an error, but so common that they carry no premium.

Misaligned die as well as a finned rim. These were common in early-mid 70s. Especially on larger coins like the half dollars.
