What Type Of Error Is This?

    And would it be worth anything? It's hard to tell on the picture, but it actually looks like a blob of metal that overlaps both the B and the E, and partially fills them in.

    That is what is called a 'BIE' Lincoln. The 'I' between the 'B' and 'E' was caused by a die chip. 'BIE' Lincolns were fairly common in the 1950s. They are worth a bit of a premium but not a lot.
