Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do with this coin? I really like the design but do I leave it be or get the loop removed? And how do I take it off without further damaging it?

If authentic, The coin is worth, I believe, maybe about 300+ USD, you simply will not retrieve any of the value it has lost as the loop seems to have been soldered on...so I would wear it...I am wearing an Ethiopian coin that has been treated almost exactly the same...

Would it be worth it to get the loop removed to be conserved by NCS?

NCS only does conservation work with chemicals, not moving metal. There appears nothing to be conserved on the coin.

Leave it be. If you sell it in the future, a buyer may think they can repair it whereas if you try to do it, a buyer would just see how hard a repair like that is and pass.

I have bought coins like this to wear and for my family members to wear...nice coin with a loop attached...of course I bought them at 1/100th of the price or more of what the coin would be worth without the loop but people will buy a coin like this for what it is. I wear my coin necklace and love it.
