Thought I would poke my head in that door for the first time in years . . . . . I was doing a search on the 1925 Stone Mountain commemorative, trying to find a decent worn condition coin for a friend and saw THIS . . . . . . . . If that wasn't bad enough, I then found THESE . . . . . . . I swear I saw dozens of the coins immediately above ^^^ for sale on eBay at "legitimate" prices. I mean, those replicas have been garnering bids like they were real. Z
Etsy is the playground of coin criminals. These people are the lowest of the low. They are a black eye on our hobby.
Wow, Etsy looks like a fun place! The vending machines at my high school had Susan's in them. I remember intentionally putting a $5 in there and pressing the change back button to get those and the Presidential dollar coins.
There are some legit dealers on Etsy. One that I've done business with in the past is Jessica's Coins. All the stuff I've bought from her was legit and her prices are reasonable, in line with the current market. She's a single mom trying to make ends meet and that is her business. Her inventory is rather limited but all her stuff is genuine.
At these prices, I'd be worth more $$$ than Amazon. (hyperbole) Etsy outrageous coin descriptions/prices - Check out this guy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CraigsIICoins?ref=l2-about-shopname There is no way to report this either. Caveat Emptor!
