Im finally updating my collection database & I have no clue about CB Overtons. Can anyone identify what Overton this is. Also is it anything special or common?

Sorry about the glare in the pics. Its just in a basic Coinworld Slab.
    Thanks!

I believe it is an O-108, which is an R1 (the most common). It looks like a nice coin!

I think Jason nailed it, but it is too bad we can't see the die crack from stars 2 through 7 in the image.

Die Crack? Where the stars seem to meet the rim of the coin? Thats the only thing I noticed when i got it.

I believe die wear causes that. In this case the die crack should connect stars 2 thru 7 and across peak of cap. Wait a second and I will post my 1828 O-108A.

Okay the O-108A has the same crack across the bust to the top of the date. Easy to see in this picture. If you look you also see the crack that starts on the rim and star two and moves through to the top of the cap(that part of the crack is the easiest to see). On worn examples cracks can faint cracks can disappear or be really really hard to see. Your coin has better color than mine.

Its not my coin and I don't know how much he paid for it, but if I were going to buy it I would offer a little over $400.

The is XF and cleaned which reduces the price to around $225. Plus it is listed on 900fines web site for sale. I am in the process of cleaning up my collection and Ricky is handling the sales end of things. You can see several of my coins on his site.
