What make a 3 ounce silver bar worth over $380?

    Some silver & gold bars sell for huge prices - but I have no idea if that particular one is worth 10 cents.

    It's, as you have stated soooooo many times, worth whatever someone will pay for it, so far $381.00

    The seller states the item smells like silver. Funny, I've never smelled silver before and I've had tons of it over the years. I'll have to sniff some of mine when the shop reopens monday. :cool:

    I don't know everything about anything, but it looks to me like someone tried to homemake a silver ingot out of coin silver. (and then took it to have assayed) Personally, my top dollar would be $20.00.

    I have a silver bar and it has a very distinct odor. Smells just like silver.
