I'd like to get everyone's opinion on this 1985 D error. What kind of error is it, a cud, or die chip, etc.? Thank you all.
Take a or a tooth pick and gently press on it. If it flattens then it is a gas bubble from the zinc rotting underneath. If it is solid then it is probably a die chip.
It's a Non Mint Error - Classic Zinc Deterioration I want to share this webpage with you - http://www.error-ref.com/zinc-deterioration-on-lincoln-cents/
