Well,I have many numismatic stories,but here is one that will really please a number of you.I was at a coin fair when I went over to a friend's stand.He had a South African Republic 1892 'Single Shaft' 5/- which I bought.The other coin caught my eye.It was a 100 Francs from Monaco,which he had a price of NZ$8 on it.A few weeks later,he hadn't sold it.He said to me,"You can have it for $5".He gave it to me.A few days later,I looked at it & noticed the letters,'ESSAI' in the space above the knight.My boss said to me that my coin was worth US$55!
