I got this penny and it appears to have excess plating over part of the mint mark. The image that follows wasnt easy to get. I used a bright flash light to see if the area between the pit was corroded but looked like more plating
nevermind, i was wrong, just looked again and the light must have illuminated it too much, it is just a rot hole
