What is wrong with this 1973 penny?

I'm not sure what's going on with this penny. It looks like it's got a sort of double rim on the left side and these dark streaks that are recessed below the level of the rim. I've seen coins with this streaking before, but never this apparent, does anyone know what this is?

Looks like an improper alloy mix, or "woodie" cent to me. :)

As far as the "doubled rim" goes, that's from a slightly misaligned die. Very common.
