Today i came across a penny that seems to be missing the date, but appears to be 1973. Sorry, i am unfamiliar what this would be called. But can you please tell me if this is real, and if so if it has any value.

It "could" be a clipped planchet. The date could just be a grease filled die. Can you take closer pictures of the clipped area? I can't see any Blakesly effect. It may be that someone did it after it left the mint.

If you look at the reverse, there is no evidence of the Blakesley Effect along the rim at "AMERICA".

Looks to be a "clipped"error coin/grease filled date on die

To me, the coin does not look like an authentic clip since the rim and LIBERTY appears to be fully formed right up to the edge of the clip.

The "clip" doesn't look real to me either.
