What is this small line by the stem of the leaf above the oz?

1990 maple leaf in rcm packaging. Has a raised line connected to the stem of the leaf with purple/black toning?

Tuff to tell from the photo, but I'd
guess it's an improper metal mixture
streak in that area - that's what it looks
    like from your one photo.

Thanks for your response. This photo is a little better. When I look at this coin it's light purple under the maple leaf and black around that "line" I just started my collection and am new to coin talk. I appreciate your info. Thanks

Sorry, but that last photo doesn't help.

Try a close up of the area, maybe from
    two diff. directions.

The line does not appear to be raised to me. I think we are just seeing tarnishing and for some reason it is just darker there.

Thanks for the response. It's hard to get a good picture with my phone. You are right, it is not raised which I thought it was. When I look real close it is a straight reddish brown line with blue/green around it. From a distance the line looks black with purple around it. Anyway, I thought it was raised. I have a silver1988 maple leaf that is reddish/golden on both sides in the RCM packiging. Is this tarnishing normal?
