well i got back on all my grandpas old coins again and found this... it is a 1907 ultra high relief wheat penny..now the question is, is it anything rare, and is it anything of value? it looks as it it is stamped and not cast like a counterfeit. let me know if i should lock it in the safe or stop waiting my time with it.
Where to start? Where to start? 1) The design is an Indian Head Cent, not a "Wheat Penny". Wheat Cents are Lincoln Cents that have a wheat ear design on the reverse and were minted from 1909 through 1958. 2) "1907 Ultra High Relief" is a term that is applied to Pattern Double Eagles designed by Saint Gaudens. 3) Your "coin" appears to be a novelty piece that may have been created from two genuine IHCs by pressing the faces out and attaching the two coins along the edge. (The edge in your photo is WAY out of focus.)
sorry about calling it a wheat penny wasn't even paying attention. I know its fake, my mom wanted me to find out if there was anyway it was real...so ya my point is proven, that's all i needed
