It's been damaged somewhere, sometime, by something. It was damaged after it left the mint. It's not a mint error. You're looking in the right place though.
ok thank you i though it was error because of the partial letters on the rim and lincolns head and beard looked odd to me but im new to this stuff. Thank You guys for your expertise im sure glad theres a place to come and learn.
Another Cent was pressed against it. It was done deliberately to alter its appearance. As stated.. Vice Job
