If you get a bill, and the serial # is something like 43346886, what is that called, and is it worth more than a regular bill. I just got a crisp new 'colored' ten dollar bill like that, and was wondering if I shoiuld try selling it. Someone suggested it was a 'double repeater'.
Seems hard to believe that you'd have friends...... A simple not worth anything would do just fine. And believe me, I'm not afraid to sound stupid, If it was my idea I'd say so.
This is actually an interesting issue. The odds of getting a double RADAR are the same as a typical RADAR (1 in 10,000). So is there really less premium or interest for a double RADAR note?
I've never seen any interest in any type of note except a true radar. (pertaining to serial numbers, unless they are mega low)
It is a simple probability calculation. But it assumes that all possible serial numbers (00000001 to 99999999) are printed, and I don't know that they are.
"I've never seen any interest in any type of note except a true radar." I have seen "poker hand" (full house, straights) and other "interesting" numbers listed for sale(all 1's, 666 in the number, etc.). It just depends on what strikes the collector's fancy.
i wonder how serial numbers work... i have a $20 bill where only 640,000 were printed, but the serial number is F01893920* anybody have a clue?
The only reason I said "I have a friend who.. eh" was because you began your post with "What if you got a note..." which sounds like the classic "I have a friend who has this problem..." If you meant that first comment on the friends as a joke, put a next to it because I took that seriously for a second. When I said "no value from me though" I meant I have no idea. What do you mean by And believe me, I'm not afraid to sound stupid, If it was my idea I'd say so ? Geez...
