    The question, as posed by the article, is "was the ancient Roman coin a fake". So not asking what it is; but rather is it genuine.

    Even if it were genuine - a billion lira upwards??? Now I now the Italian lira was never the most valuable coin in the purse, but that does seem unlikely!
