Hi leela, and welcome to the forum. Is this a test Your avatar sure looks like the reverse of a common 1989 6g copper-nickle Rupee. The picture is too dark for me to tell whether it has Bombay's diamond mintmark, or Nioba's dot. Krause doesn't list the mintages, but values them in uncirclated condition at only $1.00 (Bombay) and $2.50 (Nioba).
