  5. Well for the pice I paid $1. but was hoping for something more exciting than a Jeton.

    Its what is called a "Rechenpfennig" in German, a counting jeton. Your piece probably dates to the 15. or 16. century.

    So even though it was cheap, it's still pretty old. 15th or 16th century seems pretty exciting to me.

  8. I've come across some wild stuff in junk boxes. found a Bohemia Denar from Wenceslaus II once.

    Nothing wrong with jetons, there are some attractive ones, rare enough and quite cheap in regard to their rarity as people often overlook them
