I bought this great Connecticut quarter from Rich Errors this last weekend in Westchester NY. The quarter is struck off center and it has two clips. That is two errors on one slabbed coin. There is a third error in this slabbed coin that you don’t need a magnifying glass to see. I had to describe it to Richie after I bought the coin. What is the error? Very best regards, collect89
Is this the one with the rim cud on the reverse?? Hard to tell from the pics but I think I see it... or I could be completely wrong.
hmmmmmmmm..... There is something above "UNI" on the obverse. And on the reverse: below "UNUM". Rich is a great guy. How was the show? I couldn't get there. Much activity?
The show was slow Saturday morning & got busy by the afternoon. I saw the other other other Frank there [Frank Leone].
Nobody has picked-up on the third error yet. It is not small. I hope that some people get to see this thread when they get home tonight before someone posts the answer. Very best regards, Collect89 P.S. This PCGS error is pretty big so when you see it, you will know it. Just post "I GOT IT" so that the error experts seeing the thread after you can have fun trying to figure it out.
1. one clip 2. second clip 3. off center 4. holder say's no date but it's 1999 right on the coin 5 it's not in my collection
You got it Pilgrim. #4 is what I was looking for. The slab states no date & it is clearly a dated coin. Very best regards, collect89
Well Pilgram... Was this a contest? Did I win that coin? In all seriousness that's a nice error. What did you have to pay for that if you dont mind. Clips that are small dont seem to be much but that one I"m guessing is alot more
Great error coin! Btw, is it possible PCGS said no date because they can't tell whether it's a P or D?
That "third" error is really funny. I am not so sure I would have ever caught it. Neat coin. Thanks for sharing.
I paid a premium for it and was very glad to get the coin. (PM sent) My plan is to assemble a Connecticut quarter error set including examples of double struck, missing clad layer, etc. I have roots in Connecticut.
It is missing the clad layer. It took me 2 seconds to find it. Edit: Nevermind, I think the pictures are just kinda whack.
My photos do have a wierd color to them. That would really be a treat if it were also missing one of the layers or struck on the wrong metal.
