What is the story behind the 1936 Satin finish vs Brilliant Proof

    I guess a mistake was made at the mint? Or was there a separate proof set. Why did they make the coin Satin?

    I don't think it was a mistake. Just some are brilliant and some are satin. Most likely due to different preparations of the planchets.
