The Middle East Under Rome , Maurice Sartre (2005) p.263
“...starting in the Late Hellenistic Period, at least, coins from Tyre far outnumber any others in most sites in Galilee. Which seesm to indicate the direction of the trade axes. In addition, inscriptions from Gerasa describe payment in Tyrian silver. But does this really represent a heavy flow of trade, or does it simply result from the fact that until 65/66 Tyre was the only mint in the region producing silver coins, thus furnishing most of the currency necessary for commerce? This coinage with a high silver content (96 percent) and a heavy, fixed weight was highly valued.”

At full-weight, the Tetradrachm was estimated at 14.52 grams, and so, at 94% purity 13.65 grams of Ag.

The Word of Women's Worlds: Four Parables, 1988:
"Drachmas, two-drachma pieces, and four-drachma pieces produced in the Syro-Phoenician city of Tyre during the second and first centuries B.C.E were still in circulation in Palestine in the first century C.E. The Tyrian drachma, weighing about 3.63 grams, was considered the approximate equivalent of the Attic drachma and the Roman denarius.(5) {...} Josephus assumes that his first-century C.E. readers are familiar with Attic drachmas and attests to the circulation of Tyrian coinage in Galilee. He reckons a shekel at four Attic drachmas and a Tyrian coin in use in Galilee, presumably the tetradrachmon, at the same value (Ant. 3.8, 2§195; JW 2.21, 2§592)."

I don't agree with your theories. I don't particularly want to supply you with data.

But I will at least continue to follow.

    Best of luck.
