What microscope is the best for coin collecting best quality but on a budget and preferably one that can capture the image?
I have a Dino-lite with a cheap stand from Amazon. Basic Digital Microscopes - USB Microscope Cameras - Digital Microscopes - Dino-Lite Microscope Cameras and Accessories (dinolite.us)
I have a Mustcam 10X-300X. The photo below shows my setup. The Morgan is on the platform and the image is on my desktop monitor. This setup is around $50. There are many different cameras that will do the job. Your biggest issue is getting the camera high enough to capture the entire coin. Search photograph threads. There are a lot of them and there is a lot of very valuable information in them. Good luck.
@Inspector43 sold me on the one he uses. The only difference in our setups is that I have recently purchased an relatively inexpensive ring light and am learning to use it and I also use a strip of black velvet for the coin to sit on. I like the microscope overall, the one big drawback being that as it is you can't really do crown size coins without modifying how things are setup. I've posted a couple of pics taken with the microscope below to give you an idea of how things look.
Give me a few minutes and I'll be more than happy to... My newborn daughter is having a bit of a diaper-rash related meltdown and I've gotta run to target for some more supplies... Wish me luck. lol
Take your time. I been at this for more than 70 years. We just had grandchild number 14 in November. Great grandchild number 22 and 23 are due in the Spring. Good luck and stay safe.
Here is the link to the amazon page for the ring light. The little bit I've been able to use it so far I have liked it, I'm still learning it though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GKKR9HF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
