What is the grade and value of this morgan dollar?

i would grade this coin f-vf and cleaned. and i would say that it is worth about $30.00 .

yes, that is correct. this coin is not worth much more than melt value and i would never spend money on a grading service for this coin. i can see that the grading on this site is much more reasonable when the persons doing the grading are not the owner of the coin.

Yea, those cotton balls are fuller than I thought and the hairline is quite delineated, with a solid cap to boot. I'd actually go low AU details. But we're nitpicking here because when all is said and done, it's still worth melt.
