Middle East gold coin? I spotted this coin at a pawn shop and would like to know what country minted it, the date, if it's real gold, and if it is worth anything? The pawn shop is asking $50.00 and the owner says he can't find any info on this coin. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I have no idea what it is, but it looks like a gold plated coin to me. Of course, I have not seen it in person, so take this opinion for what it is worth. But, the devices are not sharp but appear rounded and smooth, as might occur if a coin were plated.
Don't know if it is genuine or not, but it looks like a Saudi Arabian 1 guinea trade coin (KM#36). From the 2002 Krause, values are VF=bv, XF=$90.00, UNC=$120.00. 7.9881g, .917 GOLD, .2354 oz. AGW
