What would you guys pay for a roll of wheat pennies? Also for common date v-nickels in good to fair condition? I want to see if where I bought stuff is ripping me off or giving me deal. Thanks!

I guess I should say that $3-$5/roll is pretty much auction prices.

If it's common date wheaties, I wouldn't go higher than $2 ($1.50 is average though). If they're "unsearched", (i.e: old hoard that needs searching) then it'd probably demand a higher price.

I'm not an expert on V Nicks though...probably around $1 per nickel.

for a roll, $1.99 or less, as I can get a hundred outside of the ugly paper for $4.

good- fair v-nickels, I am not sure. I can get grades up to G-4 for 40 cents apiece (might have gotten up to 50 cents)

Honestly if you're looking for certain dates/mm you're better off buying individual coins. Then you know exactly what you're getting. Or you can just roll search. I usually get about 20 wheats out of a box of pennies and I get those for FV.

I bought my wheats for 3 bucks a roll, and the store owner gave me a couple extra. Thanks! I'm going to buy v-nickels soon.

$1 a roll?!?! Wow, that's hard to believe. "Where" do you buy rolls like these? I've not seen a coin shop carry them around here....

I've seen quite a few Wheats in my regular change lately.... just yesterday I saw a brand new penny in my change - I looked to see if it was a 2012 and it was a 1967! How does THAT happen?? It was BRAND new...
