What is a 1998 gold nickel worth.

    Thats what i was guessing. Are there actually solid gold nickels? What are those worth?

    'solid gold nickels' sounds like an oxymoron. :confused:

    If 'solid gold' there'd be no nickel and hence worth their weight in gold.

    No there are no solid gold nickels....unless some one had one made in that case it would not be real anyway just a copy.Durring the second world war they did make nickels that had silver in them. These can be purchased for about $1.20 each for circulated coins and in the $30's to 60's for unc. depending on date and if they have been graded or not. One should use caution when buying any coin that is gold...there are lots of fakes .
