I have a 1981p nickel.its in great condition .the lower portion on back side of the coin where it says five cents ,the e in the word cents is an f for sure not a faded e all letters are clear I can't figure out how to put picture with this or I would please tell me if u heard of this before and if u know if it's worth anything
It's probably a grease filled die. It's very common and not worth anything. Collectible and interesting but not enough unless it's a good portion of the coin that has been greased.
wow weird. cool but weird. could have value....wait for more experienced opinions... from the error guys/gals...
Usually it's nothing too great just a couple letters. If it's like the pictures above, yes its value is nicer
As @Tyler Graton has said, missing 1 or 2 letters doesn't really add much (if anything) to the value. You really need to post a pic to get the correct ID.
Minor grease filled die - check http://error-ref.com for the section and photos. Adds minimal to no value to the face 5c.
Missing letters could be grease filled die but could also be an over polished die. Could make a huge difference in value...1969D missing FG Lincoln Cent on reverse is upwards of $750.00. This is why it's so important to have nice, clear, cropped photos to render a decent opinion.
