hmm. That is a serious consideration.
Very serious considering military personnel probably have standing orders to shoot any unauthorized person on sight.
However to answer the question. If the blast is far enough away that I'm safe then I'm sure my coins will be as well. And if its close enough that I'm glowing green or have been vaporized...well then I guess I won't give a flying F if my coins are protected.
well, sincerely... what do you do to protect your coins incase of a nuclear attack.
There are two things which we are told come from nothing:
1. Big Bang tells us everything comes from nothing.
2. The Federal Reserve tells us our Money comes from Nothing, at least when THEY are buying Treasury Bills.

1 - half of the population is gone in 2 weeks.
2 - the remainder will be badly challanged to simply find edible food and drinkable water for the next decade,, and in those efforts they will have to
toil around under an atomsphere that will likely be without UV protection as that will likely be burned off (ie. the ozone). Effects of UV burn off would likely be
drastically decreased ag production (no food), dramatically increased cancer rates (the bad kinds), and oh,,, UV imparted blindness......
... enjoy those coins.

The gun would generally be strapped to boat and the "hunters" would sneak up to a flock of duck on the water, get close enough, and then let it go... and spend the rest of the morning picking up the booty. It's a really neat gun:

I don't know who you are, but if you are going to bring common sense and sanity into this discussion, you can just stay at home the next time.
I agree with you completely, though, who in their right mind would even want to consider surviving such an event?
