I was in front of one of those machines where you use a claw to try and pick up a stuffed animal when I noticed a wheatie on the floor. I picked it up and turned it over and it was a 1932D. It's in pretty good condition too, boy I'm glad I went to walmart tonight.

Nice find! I love random Wheatie finds.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but I remember finding a 1952-D Wheatie at the Honolulu airport laying on the ground...I felt lucky that day.

  6. I found a 1946-D wheatie once at work. Oh, and a 1957 one atop a garbage can. 32-D still beats me though. Nice find! :)

Those early Abes are always a nice find. I dug a '29-S out from under the Coinstar in a grocery store last week. Kids disowned me. Oh well.

When I bought Stephen King's Dark Tower: The Song of Susannah, I got a 1919 wheatie in change. If you're not familiar, the number that became important to the plot was 19...

I have found a 1910 Wheat in change from the Chrystal drive thru, it was in bad shape though. But I could barely read 1910

I always use a credit card or debit card when I shop at Wal Mart. Some of the people in that place scare me and the money has been touched by most or some of them. I prefer to stick to plastic and use the hand sanitizer as soon as I get to my car. ;)

I don't blame you there. Ever gotten a bank box of pennies and after you searched through them you're hands are black. It scares me don't know about you!

That's a great find, probably the only thing in Walmart not made in China!

LOL Alll heck NO!!! I can't remember the website! --- dang it!
It photo's of people who just woke up and decided to visit the Walmart pharmacy with flip-flops and an actual Hefty garbage bag dress! LOL The funniest was a guy looking for (more?) spray paint at Walmart, and had gold paint all over his mouth and hair!

Heck I live in a small town, and I never seen anything crazy at Walmart? Especially wheat cents laying around?

I know does it ever make you run to the bathroom to scrub up? Ever had your eye itch during roll searching?

    That never ends well.....

I search nickels too, and yes - black hands. And a trip to the banya and sanitiser soap too.

I went through a box of halves and my hand stunk for quite some time. I washed my hand 15 or 20 times that night with antibacterial soap and could not get the smell out! I gave the 1932 wheatie to my dad because he was born in 1932. He liked it.

My inlaws live in the South (TN) and the people featured on this site are like the regular crowd at their Walmart. On Saturday nights the only thing to do in their town is to A) go to Walmart and walk the perimeter of the store for a few hours and not buy anything or B) go to Walmart and watch the people walking the perimeter of the store not buying anything.

Not sure which group would be more depressing to be a part of.
