I went to the Eye Doctor today. When I came out, there was a guy with a table set out beside the road. A banner was hung there that said "Unique Gifts". I doubted they had coins, but went to check anyway. I saw the guy had lots of silver dollars for $40, including all silver rounds. He was also selling St. Gauden's gold coins. I had $20 to spend, so here's what I bought: 1932-P Washington Quarter-$5 1929-P Standing Liberty Quarter-$5 1908-P Barber Dime-$2 1919-S Liberty Head Dime-$2 1937-P Liberty Head Dime-$2 1942-P Liberty Head Dime-$2 1958-P Roosevelt Dime-$2 My dad is a big fan of Standing Liberty Quarters, so I'm giving the '29 to him. The rest will be going in albums or traded.
Although you got a good deal, be careful about buying anything of a higher value from some guy on the side of the road. Chances are that it could be fake.
I'm calling this guy up again when I get more $. He gave me his business card and said if I want silver/gold for low prices just give him a call.
