What happened to this 64 Lincoln Cent? I saw a Youtube video by someone who is a big collector and he showed something like this that actually sold for some fairly good money. But I don't know if this the same kind of issue or post mint damage.

    Definitely Post Mint Damage.

Not a mint error of any kind.

FYI.. Show the coin you have questions about before wasting a 2x2 holder for it.

I usually stick what I find in a holder just in case it's a keeper. I was thinking this coin might have been in a fire but wasn't sure after I saw that video. The coin that was sold and in that video was pretty screwed up also.

Contact that youtube guy and sell him this coin for what he claims it's worth.
If he's for real, he'd buy it easily for half that amount so he could flip it for a quick easy profit. Please post what his/her excuse is for not wanting to buy it from you for half off. I'd love to know what that excuse will be.

What happened? Only the person that damaged that coin can answer that question.
