This is a series 2004 $20 bill. Im new to collecting and don't know if this is considered an error on currency. Please help. First the serial number on the front is a bit high. Second, the back looks like some of the shiney ink from the front transfer to the back left side whith the small yellow 20's. Thank you for your thoughts.
Looks like to me the paper was out of alignment in the rollers..look at the bottom margin..it is not there. That can cause the SN# to be misplaced as well.Thats all I know...as for the sheen on the yellow 20's..your pics are to small to see the details.. That note is from the Chicago District!! RickieB
Yes the serial number is a little high be it is within spec. Usually there isn't a premium unless it reall overruns another part of the design. As for the traces of ink on the back, that is also too minor to be of value and is most likely just a transfer of ink from one note to anotheronce they were stacked cut banded and shrink wrapped. If the ink wasn't completely cured, under pressure in the wrapping some of the ink from one note can be transfered to the one in front of it.
