Hello all, I was going through some pennies that I had when I came across this. It looked like damage at first until I took a closer look. There is the word, “CENT” written backwards on the obverse of the penny! What happened to produce this? Thank you all. ~ Matthew
It's called "a vice job" as in two coins were pressed together - after they left the mint - in a vice, leaving a reverse impression on each other.
