since we are into a run on barber coins, I thought I would see what you guys thought about this Quarter? I will let you know after you respond what i paid for it. I used the scanner, so the luster of the coin does not come thru, nor does it show it is starting to tone. Thanks Gary
I would say it has been dipped for one thing....NET AU50 would be my grade...my dad got one just like it and it came back DIPPED NET XF45... Speedy
Hi, It's a nice looking coin but I am thinking more AU-50ish because of the wear on the cheek and the fingerprint that is under the chin. Looks like light scratches on the cheek. Have Fun, Bill
So since I only gave $2.00 for it at a yard sale.I guess I did all right ? I also got : Barber dimes' 1892, 1900-s EF, 1907-s AG, 1910-D VG with some major die cracks. Barber Quarter, 1892 AG, 1900-s AU Barber 1/2 1902-0 G All this for $6.00. I am on my way on a new collection! Gary
That is a great deal...for $2.00 you did fine...I'm sure you could sell it for a nice bit more.... Speedy
what a good good find for $2. since most barbers i've seen suck, i'd probably grade this MS-60 or AU57-59.
