With all the noise on the cheek (and to a lesser extent in the field in front of the face) PLUS the dark spotting I would be surprised if it went higher than MS-62.
MS63...? I agree the marks and dark spots on the obv would certainly prevent this coin from a higher grade. Rev seems to be better, but your pics don't show the entire coin.
I'm not sure if this is the 3C or not since I can't see the metal displacement caused by the die crack at the top of the Phrygian cap. In any event, I believe only ANACS would attribute the VAM-3 series. You might get lucky and get a 64 from ANACS, but I'm leaning toward 63 from NGC or PCGS. Chris
MS 63 at most. The carbon spots are very distracting. It is a nice coin, but those are sufficient to bring a 63 grade--otherwise it would have been a solid 64 or possibly an outside chance at 65.
Not as ugly in these pictures^^^^^^ I would say a 63 because of the cheek chatter--pretty standard for MS 63 CC mint coins. However, the spots aren't as distracting as they were in the other picture....it actually has very nice luster.
