what error is this on rim 1916s Lincoln

    Is the coin really oval or is that just the photography?

    Now that you mention it yes. It's oval. Thats what had me thinking a collar error of some sort. The coin is not round that's for sure

    No one except Chris has even given an answer on this one.... I guess I'll have to get off my butt and search elsewhere for an answer. I have to admit I was happy to find a 1916 cent in a roll, it wasn't until I looked at it for a while that I realized besides being flat at the edge it is also not round.
