What does S.C. stand for ?????

    A quick one, if you please. (I am having an 'old-timer's' moment.)
    In a 'Ref.' the letters S.C. (before the catalogue number) refer to which catalogue, please? (NOT to be confused with 'Senatus Consulto'.)
    Specifically 'S.C.979 var.'
