... Look for in an online coin store? Is it good information about what the company is selling? Good prices? Interesting inventory? Or anything else. Please feel free to post your opinions on what you would like to see in an online store.

    Thanks,
    Aidan

Just a few things that come to mind immediately:

Easy navigation, clearly specified prices and shipping charges, and good photos.

Good search capabilities. *Actual* coin photos, not stock photos. Variety of different items or lots of one specific item. Accurately graded and fairly priced coins.

I agree with the easily seen shipping prices. I hate finding a deal only to find shipping is waaaaay expensive.

I like my local coin shop, that way I can see, and handle prior to purchasing. Then again, im in a fairly big city.

ALL of the above (can't have too much info)....and I would prefer to hold it in hand---many photos enhance or degrade the actual appearance of the coins as they truly appear in plain sight.

Not to mention no 'hassle' return policies and guarantees of prompt refunds whenever necessary....

EDIT: By holding it in hand I really mean a personal visit to a dealer and viewing and holding the coin myself...but that is not always practical for a variety of reasons...

Great replies guys thank you. :)

Would you like pictures of the coin, and the coin being held by a person (coin in hand pic)?

Another question: How involved would you like that company to be in social media? Would you like it if they had a blog? Active on forums (like some of our members)? Or posting on their website and forums about their coin show experience (Amanda & Charmy)?

Adding to the above: a nice range of inventory.

For me social media isn't such a big thing if it's just "noise". If it's informative and accurate, than using social media would be a bonus.

Good photos and a reply from the seller if I ask a question.

Very good point on posting "noise" on social media, if it's useless you're not going to get a lot of attention.

Maybe I should tag some people to get their opinion. :D

If someone offers you an amount you think is too low, be polite in your response. You don't want to lose potential customers, present or future, because you took a low offer as an insult.

Can I infer that you are giving some thought to setting something ?

That's pretty cool, I checked out your website, it's not bad. ;)
I was hopping for more activity in this thread, maybe I should have this moved or re-post it in the Ancients forum.

I have to know the dealer. A fancy site is cool but it won't make me buy from them. They have to have a reputation I trust. That all changes when it comes to a $20 coin. I might take the risk.
